Recurring House Cleaning in Waterloo
The point of a recurring clean is that the house never gets far enough behind to need a big one. Same day, same crew, same list - and you stop thinking about it.
Most of our Waterloo accounts are biweekly. That interval works for a two-income household in Laurelwood, Clair Hills, Columbia Forest or Vista Hills where nobody is home much during the week and the mess is ordinary. Weekly makes more sense with small children, two dogs, or a house that hosts. Monthly works for a couple in an Uptown condo who mostly need bathrooms and floors kept honest.
What a standard visit covers
- Kitchen: counters, backsplash, sink and taps, exterior of all appliances, cooktop, microwave inside and out, cabinet fronts, table and chairs, floor washed
- Bathrooms: tub and shower including glass and tracks, tile, toilet inside and out including the base and behind, sink and vanity, mirrors, chrome descaled, floor washed
- Bedrooms and living areas: dusted top to bottom including sills, ledges, blinds, baseboards and light fixtures within reach, mirrors and glass, vacuumed and floors washed
- Whole house: switch plates, door handles, door frames, stair treads and railings, garbage out and bins relined
- Beds made, or stripped and remade if you leave fresh linen out
The first visit is different
A first clean on a house that has not had one takes longer than the ones after it - usually somewhere between one and a half and two times a maintenance visit. We quote that first visit separately and honestly rather than hiding it in the recurring rate. After that, the recurring number holds.
Same crew, every time
You get the same one or two people. That matters more than anything else in this trade: they learn which surfaces are sealed, which vase not to touch, which door sticks, and that the home office is off limits on Wednesdays. A new person every visit is why most people leave their last cleaner.
Access and keys
Key, lockbox, garage code or smart-lock code - whatever you prefer. Keys are tagged by code, not by address. If you are in an Uptown building with a fob and a service elevator, tell us the building and we handle the booking with the concierge.
Add-ons when you want them
Interior windows, inside the fridge, inside the oven, inside cabinets and closets, wall washing, finished basement, and the garage floor. Add them to any visit or set them on a rotation - fridge in March and September, oven before Thanksgiving, windows in May.
Frequently asked questions
Weekly or biweekly?
Biweekly suits most Waterloo households. Go weekly if you have young kids, shedding pets, or you entertain often - or if biweekly means you find yourself tidying hard the night before.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Recurring service runs visit to visit. Tell us a week ahead if you want to pause for a vacation, a co-op term or a renovation.
Do you bring supplies?
Yes, everything including vacuums. If you want your own products used on a specific floor or stone surface, leave them out and we will use them.
